| NAVIGATING
| ==========
|
| Navigating refers to your means of moving among the articles
| and newsgroups that represent usenet news. The newsreader provides many
| different means for accomplishing this, each suited to a particular
| purpose.
|
| You can go to any article viewable using the mouse, by
| double-clicking on the article's summary line. This sort of
| navigation is usefull when you wish to pick and choose among a selection
| of articles the ones which interest you.
|
| Beyond this, the newsreader provides additional commands to
| make reading news articles easier and more convenient. These commands
| are contained in the "Movement" menu, and are described as follows :
|
|
| Next Unread This command instructs the newsreader to display the next
| unread article available in the current newsgroup. If no
| unread article remains after the current one, the newsgroup
| is exited.
|
| Previous Unread This command instructs the newsreader to display the
| next previous unread article. If there are no unread
| articles before the current one, no action is performed.
|
| Next This command will attempt to go to the next article in
| the newsgroup, regardless of its read/unread status. If
| there are no articles after the current one no movement
| is performed.
|
| Previous This command will attempt to go to the next previous
| article available in the current newsgroup, heedless of
| the article's read/unread status. If no previous article
| can be found no action is performed.
|
| Next Subject This will attempt to go to the next article with the
| same subject line. Right now, it is based solely on the
| subject: field, and thus will fail to find associated
| articles who's subject fields are different (this will be
| remedied eventually). If no article of the same subject
| can be found after the current article, no action is
| performed.
|
| Previous Subject This command will try to go to the next previous article
| with the same subject line. Right now, the search is
| based solely on the subject: field, and thus will fail to
| find associated articles who's subject fields are different
| (this will be remedied in a later release). If no article
| of the same subject can be found before the current
| article, no movement is made.
