Subject: new scans (soon to be) in the archives

Hey, folks...

I've just sent three new scans to Kevin to be placed in the archives. I
imagine they'll show up in /graphics/jpeg pretty soon.

The photos were taken by Sherrie Arnold at the recent indoor fly in the
Hindenburg hanger in Lakehurst, New Jersey. The fly was hosted by Peter
Lee of LVKS.

lh_millenium.jpg: 119K, 798x1187 x 24bit. This image is, unsurprisingly,
of Dave Arnold flying one of the prototype Millenium's (Jordan Air). Show
this one to those folks who insist you have to run to fly a kite indoors --
Dave's standing pretty still.

lh_rev_side.jpg: 91K, 776x1174x 24bit. This image shows the side (and end
doors) of the hanger with Dave Arnold standing (yes, again he's standing,
not running!) with his Rev I. This kite is on 75' lines to give you an
idea of the space we were in. In the background Sandy "deccaboy" Wagner
flies one of the older Synergy Zero's. On the ground near him is a newer
model Zero owned by Jason Robbins. I'm not sure who's setting up the delta
in the middle of the picture.

lh_rev_ceiling.jpg: 118K, 1190x795x24bit. This is, for me, a
quintessential image of indoor flying. Dave's Rev I, still on 75' lines,
is in the midst of an over-the-top; the camera was pointed almost straight
up to take this picture. Behind the kite is the webwork of girders that
supports this massive hanger. Light streams in the sides and from above
through windows and skylights. Truly beautiful. Dave was probably flying
the kite when this was taken, though both of us managed over-the-tops with
the kite.

Enjoy!
