(1-800-827-6364) Subject: Kite Bestseller's List Does anyone know of a Kite Best Seller's List - At one point in time, Top of the Line was the undisputed best seller in the stunt kite market. Today, there are so many brands, myths, and misconceptions that it is very difficult to determine what is the most popular kite on the market. Such a list can be very useful for beginners looking for a kite to buy and store owners formulating their inventory and purchasing plans. Manufacturers can also get a "feel" for what products and product trends are hot. For 1994, the MEFM has been our top selling stunt kite and Kite Precision has been our #1 selling book. Contributions and comments from other fliers, retailers are solicited and welcomed = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Fri, 9 Sep 1994 20:38:52 -1000 From: andrew@tug.com (Andrew Beattie) Message-Id: Organization: /usr/lib/news/organisation Subject: Re: Kite Bestseller's List In article <34nkvt$416@search01.news.aol.com> hqbfk@aol.com (HQBFK) writes: >Today, there are so many brands, myths, and misconceptions that it is very >difficult to determine what is the most popular kite on the market. This is likely to depend upon what you allow to qualify. Trilby is likely to be one of the front runners, but the winner is probably some plastic toy that you've never flown that's sold in every 7-11. Andrew -- Kite jumping is for morons. If you want to fly, get a hang-glider. Netiquette-of-the-day: Think twice before posting! You can FTP the kite FAQ's from ftp.hawaii.edu (directory /pub/rec/kites/faq) It is generally accepted that the ravings of Frank Kenisky should be ignored. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Sat, 10 Sep 1994 04:38:40 -1000 From: eriko@BIX.com (Erik Olson) Message-Id: <34t4if$3g0@news.delphi.com> Organization: Infomantics Subject: Re: Kite Bestseller's List >but the winner is probably some plastic toy that >you've never flown that's sold in every 7-11. Last year at the St. Louis Kite Festival, the wind dropped to about 2kph-and the cheap plastic kites that they handed out were the only ones that stayed in the air. There was much gnashing of teeth at that one... ***************************************************************************** * Erik V.
