Although it is not actually in Chicago, The Chicago Kite Company has a great selection of kites and an excellent staff. They are located at the follwing address: 6 S. Brockway Palatine, Ill. 60067 (708) FLY-ALL6 (359-2556) I once went in 10 minutes before closing with a multitude of questions and the owner was more than happy to help me out. They also offer a FREE learn to fly program every Sunday (usually) from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. At the Ned Brown Forest Preserve (Golf Rd. and Route 53 in Schaumburg, by Woodfield Mall) Call the store for more details. On weekends, the forest preserve is also a hot spot for Chicagoland flyers, many of whom are more than happy to give tips and answer basic questions. There is also a store located in North Pier shopping complex in downtown Chicago. Don't know the name or phone, but check it out if you're there. Happy Flying! R. In many cases I have complete postal addresses in the Address FAQ database.. If you're listed in the Address FAQ, and would prefer that your _postal_ address not be posted to the net (or e-mailed to individual inquirees) let me know by e-mail, and I'll remove your postal address info from the database, or notate that you don't want it posted net-wide.. Your call.. Remember that the Address FAQ is available to anyone via ftp.hawaii or Andrew's KFS web page.. -- -- Dan Rubesh GO Wind Wizard windwiz@west.net FLY A P.O.
