I am taking a trip to Door County, Wisconsin in August. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the area and could tell me what types of wind I can expect. I am considering either getting an ultralite stunt kite (Jabberwocky, NBK, or Magnum Opus) or a high-wind (power) kite (i.e., Chevron Team kite). I would rather get an ultralite, but I am concerned that the winds will be too strong. My decision will be based primarily on the conditions there. If anyone has flown out there, please let me know what I can expect. -- Tom Stuermer | e-mail: tstuerme@cnde.iastate.edu Center for Nondestructive Evaluation | W: (515)294 7735 229 ASC-II | (515)294 7822 Iowa State University, Ames, IA 50011| FAX: (515)294 6368 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Wed, 28 Jul 1993 02:04:15 -1000 From: lmarshal@pnfi.forestry.ca (Larry Marshall) Message-Id: Organization: Forestry Canada - Petawawa National Forestry Institute Subject: Re: Flying conditions in Door Co., WI? I often lament the lack of an ultra-light in my kitebag.
