LS13FX and LS20FX Fixes Corrected and Available 9/25/92 The LS13FX and LS20FX fixes for OS/2 LAN Server/Requester systems have had the needed corrections applied and are again available for downloading. Other than some misleading references to DOS LAN Requester in the READMEs, the primary problem with the fixes was the omission of a special version of NETWKSTA.SYS for OS/2 1.3 systems with LS 2.0 installed. The correct fix package to use depends on what is installed: LS13FX is for OS/2 1.3 EE systems using the EE LAN Server/Requester. LS20FX is for all systems with LS 2.0 installed, including OS/2 1.3 systems. Both fixes have a prerequisite that CSD WR05050 be installed on any OS/2 1.3 systems except those with OS/2 1.30.2 installed (includes CSD 5050). If anyone had downloaded and installed the earlier version of these fixes, you may need to download and install the new versions, again depending on what was originally installed. If you downloaded and installed the LS13FX on only OS/2 1.3 EE systems without LS 2.0, there is no need to download the newer version of LS13FX. If you had used the LS13FX on an OS/2 1.3 system with LS 2.0, you will need to download and install the LS20FX on that OS/2 1.3 system with LS 2.0. If you used the LS20FX on an OS/2 2.0 system, you will also need to download the new LS20FX and install it. It does have "newer" modules than the original LS20FX and additional install instructions that were missing in the original. Anyone installing the LS20FX should take special care to insure that the correct NETWKSTA module get installed on each system based on the OS/2 version. If your site needs both the LS13FX and the LS20FX, extra special care must be used so as not to confuse the two different OS/2 1.3 NETWKSTA.SYS modules involved. One is for 1.3 systems with LS 2.0, one for 1.3 systems that do not have LS 2.0. If you are going to download both fix packages make sure to use two different directories so that the second NETWKSTA.SYS does not overwrite the first one that you download and unzip.
