Date: Thu, 4 Apr 1996 09:37:02 -0400 From: MacKenzie Strickland Subject: Easter Greetings letter Hello, and hope this letter finds you well. As we near the weekend where we reflect upon our Saviour's death and resurrection, it seems a good time for Joy and I to write and wish your home many blessings, spiritual and otherwise. `Hhesed' is the Hebrew word meaning Steadfast Mercy. "Surely goodness and Hhesed shall follow me all the days of my life." "Hhesed and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed." (Psalms 23:6,85:1O). It is though the Death of Jesus on the Cross that the steadfast, covenantal Love of God became available to sinners; it was through His Resurrection that believers receive assurance of peace and a good standing with the Father (see Romans 4:25). Joy and I are thankful for many blessings we have already enjoyed in 1996. Joy is near the top of her Commercial Baking class, even though she was hindered by a few exhausting bouts of the flu. I (Kenzie) recently celebrated a very happy 3Oth birthday, joined in Halifax by my parents from Sydney and my brother from New Brunswick. My weekly Internet publication, Sunday Snippets, continues into it's third year, undoubtably with increased readership. We are happy to be involved in the details of founding a new church in Halifax, Covenant Reformed Presbyterian. Our other daily blessings are too numerous to count. We send you the best of Easter greetings. May God keep you continually in His Hhesed. Warmly yours because He lives, MacKenzie & Joy. ---------------------------------------------------------- file: /pub/resources/text/sunday.snippets: snip96-064a.txt .
