Subject: Condition of Dr. Gerstner

On April 23, 1995, a message was sent out to the Electronic Calvinist List by
Darrell Todd Maurina which reported that Dr. John Gerstner of Ligonier
Ministries had reportedly suffered a stroke on Saturday, April 22, while
speaking. 
 
I have just received word from a friend who is not accessible via the
Internet that Dr. Gerstner reportedly had a phenomenal collapse, but has
recovered almost completely.  Apparently he suffered a series of small
strokes, but was treated with drugs, or such, soon enough to prevent a
massive attack.  He is now reportedly pretty much back to his old self, and
is complaining about the fact that a Pennsylvania law now prevents him from
driving his car.  
 
If anyone has any questions regarding this, you may E-Mail them to me, and I
will forward them to my friend.  However, he found out about Dr. Gerstner's
stroke from me when I relayed Darrell's original message to him, and I don't
know whether or not he has a continuing source of further information.  
 
Our prayers are that Dr. Gerstner's health will continue to improve, and that
God will grant him patience and forbearance regarding his no longer being
able to drive.
