These are the binaries for XV 2.21. I compiled them with the GCC
2.2.2d shared libraries, (version 4.1 jumptables) so if for some
reason you haven't got these libs you will need to download them
before you can run these programs.

If you want any of the documentation for XV, you can download the full
XV source and doc distribution from export.lcs.mit.edu in the /contrib
directory.

To install these binaries, just put them somewhere in your path
(perferably in the same directory as your other X11 executables). I've
tested XV (but not bggen or vdcomp) under Linux version 0.97.6 running
on a 486 with 16MB of memory. I don't see why they shouldn't work with
newer versions of the operating system or with smaller machines, but
I'm not making any guarantees. If you have any trouble, please email a
description of your problem and machine configuration to
mhbrekke@iastate.edu.
