INSTALLING Photo5:

Simply copy all files into the directory into C:\System\apps\photo5


Documentation: A help file is provided with the release. Note: This Help file is not up to date with Version 1.4 but is essentially similar.


However, there is some important information about V1.4. This version has a maximum od 20 undo levels (The Default is 5). This function works very well. There are two points related to the undo functionality,

(1) If you have 20 Undo levels set then Photo5 will use about 1.5 megs of system memory!!! Five is happy medium.

(2) There is a problem when the auto undo is set. this is that Photo5 is constantly try to determine when to add to the undo buffer, when to draw to the screen, show the tool bar etc. All of this causes a lag when first drawing directly to the screen. The lag is only noticable if yo touch the screen and straight away draw a sharp curve quickly. What will happen is the curve will not be a perfect curve. At the moment there are two ways to avoid this. (1) Touch the pen onto the screen and draw slowly to start off (My preference) or (2) Diable the auto undo feature when precision drawing and use the manual "Make undo" tool bar button. Hopefully this problem will be removed in future versions.
