       USAGE

       ssssaaaavvvveeee [_p_a_t_h_n_a_m_e]

       DESCRIPTION

The ssssaaaavvvveeee and ffffeeeettttcccchhhh commands are your primary means of
effecting transfer of image data between the program and the
_U_n_i_x file system. SSSSaaaavvvveeee writes an image to _p_a_t_h_n_a_m_e. The
image is written in such a way that it may be later
retrieved with ffffeeeettttcccchhhh with all of its attributes intact.

When given without an argument the image will be given the
filename defined in the startup configuration file
(ECHO_SAVE_PATH and ECHO_DEFAULT_NAME). If an explicit
pathname is not specified then the image will be stored in
the directory specified by the startup variable
ECHO_SAVE_PATH. If this variable is undefined, or _p_a_t_h_n_a_m_e
       begins with a directory pathname (/, ./, ../, ~/ or ~_u_s_e_r/),
the given pathname will be used as is.

If the image is a color image, a second file will be created
       with the extention .color.

A _p_a_t_h_n_a_m_e of the form ~~~~////_p_a_t_h_n_a_m_e or ~~~~_u_s_e_r////_p_a_t_h_n_a_m_e may be
used to reference an image in your or another user's home
       directory respectively.

A basic familiarity with the _U_n_i_x filesystem is assumed.
