Greetings,
The following graphics were created using an Amiga 2000 computer,
a Panasonic 1410 BW Camera and Digi-View 4.0 softwarefrom New
Tek, an Image processing program called Pixmate and Deluxe Paint
III for Text and final composition. They were first digitized in the
Amiga's HAM (Hold and Modify) mode as modified by New Tek. This
mode allows up to 4096 colors on the screen, with each scan line
able to have it's own palette. The screen resolution used was 320 X
400, which on an Amiga is called Lores/Interlace mode. This gives
about the best range of colors and the sharpest image, although
because of the Commodore's desire to maintain NTSC compatibility,
the image does flicker a bit. The digitized image was then loaded
into Pixmate and converted into a 16 color picture. By converting to
16 colors, I reduced the file size by about 30% (reducing download
time) and hoped that the fewer colors would allow more people to
view the finished images. After I was satisifed with the final Amiga
version of the image, I converted it to the GIF format using a PD
Amiga to GIF conversion program. After digitizing a number of
images, the results were combined using Arc.
I hope that many of you can view these images using the GIF format,
but since I do not have access to other brands of computers, I have
no way of knowing how everything looks on other machines. Your
feedback, and your sugestions are most welcome. I am willing to
digitize and convert images to any number of resolutions and/or
colors that my machine can handle. Let me know what the
capabilities of YOUR machines are and I'll try my best. Black and
white line art might be an option for some work. This Archive Should
Contain the following files:
