A female of Cucullia boryphora was caught by continuous light trap in southern archipelago of Finland,
N: Tammisaari,
Jussarö 669:308, during 8.-22.5.1993 (T. & K. Nupponen leg.), simultaneously with three
other specimens from northern Europe. It is suggested that the real catching date was
between 14. and 18. May. Most probably this boryphora
-invasion started from southern Ural area,
about 2000 km SE from Finland.
